It is well-known that the Russians like celebrating the so-called “City Birthday”. It is the day when they admire the culture traditions and history of the city they live in. Of course, St.Petersburg is not an exception. It probably has one of the best celebrations in the whole country.
Every year on 27 May the citizens and visitors of the city come to the central part of the city to enjoy parades, special historical displays, public music concerts and a firework. It is absolutely free. This year St.Petersburg will turn 308 years old.
