Russia – Discover the Unknown

Cancellation Policy Update Amid the Ukraine Conflict – Travel to Russia in 2025

The conflict in Ukraine continues, and while we all hope for peace soon, the timeline remains unclear. This heart-breaking situation prompts us to monitor developments closely so we can keep you updated. We understand that, with this uncertainty, travellers may feel apprehensive about booking a trip to Russia or making financial commitments. Many have asked about what would happen with their payments if travel becomes impossible. Rest assured, your safety and investment are our top priorities. Here’s our approach:

Current Travel Feasibility and Safety in Russia

As of now, travel to Russia remains possible, and there are no entry restrictions in place. We’ve also published a detailed guide on practicalities and safety considerations when planning a trip to Russia in 2025. For reassurance, we’ve had many travellers join us on tours in 2023 and 2024, all of whom reported positive experiences without any issues. You can read customers’ feedback on our social media resources. Additionally, our itineraries steer clear of any conflict zones.

Safety First: Continuous Monitoring

Your safety is our top priority. While the current situation allows for travel, we are actively monitoring conditions on the ground. Should the conflict escalate to a level where it would be unsafe to continue operating tours, we will cancel trips. Rest assured, in such cases, we will communicate all necessary information and guide you through the cancellation process.

Our Cancellation Procedure in Case of Escalation

If the situation becomes untenable and we cancel our tours, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Land portion of the trip: You’ll receive a full refund, minus any non-refundable expenses already incurred, such as visa fees, insurance, or minor cancellation fees for train tickets or hotel reservations, if applicable. A detailed breakdown of these costs will be provided.
  • Flights: Refunds for flights will follow the airline’s policies. If travel is legally prohibited or borders are closed, most airlines will cancel flights and provide a full refund. We will work with you to secure this refund based on the airline’s terms.

Our Hope for a Safe and Enjoyable 2025

We remain optimistic that travel will continue as planned in 2025 without any major escalations. Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional and safe travel experience, and we appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these challenging times together.

Thank you for trusting us with your travel plans. We’re here to answer any additional questions you may have, so please feel free to reach out.

Typical….I asked a question about REFUNS and got the usual…..check the link on cancellations. And the link says….”details of these costs will be provided”. YES that was the question. Where are the details. I am particularly interested in knowing if the refund will be refunded if necessary. Please and thank you for following up.

Hi, as mentioned in the post, most services will be fully refunded. However, if you applied for a visa, please note that visa fees are non-refundable, as consulates do not issue refunds under any circumstances.

All other costs can be refunded if you booked a standard tour with us. That said, if you requested specific services — for example, a hotel with a non-refundable rate — those particular charges cannot be reimbursed.
