In recent times, international payment cards have faced certain restrictions when used within Russia due to sanctions. This has created inconveniences for travellers who rely on their cards for everyday transactions as currently the only way to pay for your purchases in Russia is to use cash. So, you need to take enough foreign currency with you on a trip to Russia and exchange locally. You will need to budget and plan your expenses properly.
We understand the challenges this poses. To address this issue, we are excited to introduce a solution that will simplify your financial needs during your stay in Russia. We offer a temporary debit card specially issued within Russia for international visitors. The card is denominated in Russian roubles and is accepted at all merchants in the country: offline, online, contactless or using apple or google pay.
How it works
- Convenience from the start: Before your trip to Russia, you will need to pre-order your card just sending us your full name and date of arrival. Upon your arrival in Moscow, our dedicated representative will deliver the temporary debit card directly to your hotel / accommodation. No need to worry about searching for currency exchange offices or carrying large sums of cash. No additional paperwork is required.
- Seamless transactions: With this temporary debit card, you can make purchases at local shops, dine at restaurants, and use public transportation without any difficulties. It’s as easy as using your regular payment card.
- Easy loading: To add funds to your card, simply visit any of the many ATMs located throughout Russia. This can be done conveniently and securely 24 x 7, allowing you to manage your finances with ease.
- Support: If you prefer a more hands-on approach, our friendly representatives are available to assist you with loading funds onto your card or addressing any concerns you may have.

Card validity. Your card will be valid during your trip to Russia, maximum for 6 months. Tthis is the longest period a Russian tourist visa can be issued for.
- Return or dispose: When it’s time to leave Russia, you have two options. You can either return the temporary debit card to our representative or choose to destroy it securely.
Cost
To obtain a temporary debit card, you’ll pay a one-time fee of £50. This cost covers the card issuance and administrative fees, making it an affordable option for travellers.
In addition to the issuance fee, we require a refundable deposit of 25 EUR payable when you get your card in Moscow. This deposit acts as a security measure and ensures that you’ll return the card upon leaving Russia. The deposit will be fully refunded to you when you return the card as instructed. If returning the card is not possible, the deposit will be forfeited. Your card will be cancelled once you leave Russia.
Order your card
Ordering our temporary debit card for your visit to Russia is a straightforward process.
To initiate the process, simply send an email, include the following information: your full name and planned arrival date in Russia, accommodation details in Moscow, reservation reference (if applicable and you ordered other services with us).
Once we receive your email, we will promptly confirm your request and provide you with further details. Please ensure that the information you provide is accurate, as it will be used for card issuance and delivery.
It takes 24 hours to produce your debit card. No additional paperwork is required.
Important notes
Our debit card can only be delivered in person within Moscow. Our representative will arrange a convenient time and location for the delivery. This ensures you receive your card promptly upon your arrival in the capital.
Regrettably, we are currently unable to arrange card delivery services for visitors arriving in cities other than Moscow. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and recommend that you make arrangements accordingly if you plan to visit other regions of Russia. This relates only to card delivery. Once you have your card you can use it everywhere within the Russian territory.
