What is a dacha in Russia? A dacha is a typical seasonal & quite often a year-round second home of a Russian family, located in the suburbs of lager cities. It includes a house (a cottage) and some land. Previously the plots of land were used to harvest some fruits & vegetables, although nowadays the dachas are mostly used for recreational purposes.
